A New York taxi drives by the camera at night.
I was in New York for some work at Madison Square Gardens, the famous sports place, and after work, my friend Rich Wade came down from the Bronx and showed me around. Visiting a town is always better if you have a local tour guide, who knows the places to visit.
We had just visited Pier 84, looking out over the Hudson River and the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space museum, when we were heading back to the hotel and had to wait for a red light. I had my camera in my hand and just took a number of shots while traffic rushed by. This was the only one that resulted in something nice. It is always a guess as to what will happen when you shoot like that, so I took a chance and it worked out.
